Start Where You Are: Journalling Prompts for Self-Love & Confidence

Because learning to love yourself doesn’t require fancy notebooks or perfect handwriting - just a little time, a cup of tea, and the courage to be honest with yourself.

We know that journalling can feel a bit intimidating - especially when you’re staring at a blank page thinking, “What do I even write?” But here’s the good news: there’s no “right” way to journal. It’s simply time you give to you. A quiet(ish) space to check in with your thoughts, your feelings, and your fabulous self.

At The BKE Club, we believe in self-love that’s messy, real, and beautifully human. We’re not here for perfection - we’re here for progress, honesty, and the magic that happens when you give yourself permission to show up just as you are.

So grab a pen, pull on your comfiest pants, and let’s get journalling. These beginner-friendly prompts are designed to help you embrace who you are, boost your confidence, and grow a little more self-love - one page at a time.

🌸 Part 1: Checking In With Yourself

Start by taking a breath. You don’t have to fix anything, you’re just listening.

  • How am I really feeling today?

  • What do I need more of right now, and what do I need less of?

  • If my body could speak, what would it want me to hear?

Tip: Be honest, not harsh. Even “I feel tired and I want chocolate” is perfectly valid.

🌼 Part 2: Building a Loving Inner Voice

That inner critic? Let’s give her a tea break.

  • What would I say to a friend who felt like this?

  • What are 3 things I love or admire about myself, beyond what I do?

  • What’s one small way I can show myself love today?

🌈 Part 3: Embracing Who You Are (Flaws, Sass, and All)

Celebrate your whole self, quirks and all.

  • What makes me me, the strengths, the weird bits, the sparkle?

  • Where in my life do I want to be more unapologetically myself?

  • What would I have more energy for if I let go of being “perfect”?

🌟 Part 4: Looking Ahead With Love

Self-love is a journey, not a destination.

  • What’s something I’d like to try this month, just for me?

  • How do I want to feel, in my body, my mind, my heart?

  • If I truly believed I was enough (spoiler: you are), what would I do differently?

Journalling isn’t about having perfect answers: it’s about showing up for yourself with curiosity and kindness. Whether you write one sentence or fill ten pages, you’re doing something powerful: you’re giving yourself space to grow, to heal, and to bloom.

So go on ... put the kettle on, pop on your fluffiest socks, and take some time for you. You deserve it.

And remember: You’re allowed to take up space. You’re allowed to love yourself. You’re allowed to change and still be worthy.

Big Knicker Energy means showing up in all your glory - messy bun, bold dreams, and all.

You’ve got this. 💪💖
