Having a baby changes a lot of things - especially your body. And while everyone celebrates the new life you've brought into the world, it's okay if you’re left wondering… What happened to me?
Let’s talk about it.
💪 Your Body Did Something Amazing
You grew a human. That’s not something to rush past - it’s worth honouring.
Instead of focusing on how your body looks right now, try asking: What did my body just do?It created life. That’s strength, not failure.
❌ Forget the “Bounce Back” Pressure
The idea of “getting your body back” is outdated and unhelpful.Your body isn’t lost - it’s changed. And that’s okay.
Healing takes time. There’s no timeline, no finish line. Go at your own pace.
💬 Talk to Yourself with Love
If your best friend had a baby, would you tell her she looks “ruined”? No - you’d tell her she’s strong, beautiful, and doing great.
Talk to yourself the same way.
Try this:
I’m proud of what my body has done.
I deserve love and rest, just as I am.
I’m still me - just more.
🧘♀️ Move to Reconnect, Not to “Fix”
Exercise shouldn’t be punishment. Choose gentle movement that makes you feel good, not guilty.
Walks. Stretching. Dance. Whatever helps you feel present in your body again.
🧹 Clean Up Your Social Media Feed
What you see matters. Unfollow anything that makes you feel less-than.
Follow real mums. Real stories. Real bodies. Surround yourself with support - not pressure.
🎉 Celebrate the Little Wins
Confidence grows slowly. Celebrate moments like:
Wearing something you love
Smiling at your reflection
Dancing with your baby
They all count.
❤️ You’re Still You - and More
You didn’t “lose” your body. You just evolved.
You’re not just a mum. You’re a force. And your worth? Never tied to a size.
Much Love
